Caermynydd Piggery is an expanding, family run, pig unit situated within the Welsh Hills of Ceredigion.

We use both traditional pigs and farming methods. Our pig rearing unit is run using a straw based system whilst our adult sows and boars enjoy a free range environment. Weather permitting, the sows farrow outside were the piglets can have plenty of fresh air and freedom. Being naturally inquisitive and playful it's not long before the piglets run amuck and get into all sorts of trouble.

Our pig feed is milled and mixed on the farm, our grain locally sourced, ensuring that the best quality feed is given at all times.

The traditional breeds we use, Pedigree Large White, Saddlebacks, Landrace and Welsh, enable us to produce top quality home cured bacon products together with premium sausages and fresh pork. We breed the pigs and process the products ourselves giving our customers confidence in buying a totally traceable product that is grown and produced in Wales.

Caermynydd Piggery products were 2007 winners of the & South Wales Counties Awards for innovation and excellence in meat products, receiving the Gold Award for excellence in texture, flavour and palatability with the traditional pork sausage, home cured gammon and home cured bacon.
